Hard Drive Destruction
We often read or hear about some company or organization that has lost valuable information from a discarded desktop computer or notebook. This information usually was retrieved from the customer’s hard drive believed to have been cleaned. The only true way to clean information from a computer is to destroy the computer’s hard drive. Our approach to hard drive destruction is simply that. We destroy our customer’s hard drive to ensure that no information left on the hard drive is retrievable.
Each customer hard drive we receive for destruction is logged in by serial number and then sent to the destruction center in our plant. There an operator places the hard drive into a shredder and shreds it to a small particle size, destroying access to any information contained on the hard drive.
Once the hard drive(s) is destroyed we provide our customer with a Certificate of Destruction as documentation. Again, our hard drive destruction process fully meets the quality and security standards established by NAID to meet our AAA Certification for Hard Drive Destruction.
